HILLSDALE TERRACE UPDATE FROM HAP:

The federal "Notice of Funding Availability" (NOFA) was released in mid-July for the 2009 HOPE VI grant program. HAP staff have been busy reviewing the criteria under which our application will be scored and we believe we have an excellent opportunity to compete for these revitalization funds.  The application will be due by mid-November and we plan on presenting the design recommendations to our HAP Board at their meeting in mid-October.

We have scheduled our 2nd design workshop for Tuesday, August 18th (see attached outreach flyer).  Please join us to hear how the design team has incorporated your ideas from the June open house and design workshop sessions.  Your continued input is essential to the success of the application and the revitalization process.

Also attached is an estimated timeline that will give you an overview of the process ahead of us.  After notice of a successful grant award next spring, we hope to be moving residents back to a new apartment community by the spring of 2013.

Come join us in creating a new vision for affordable housing at Hillsdale Terrace.  Please feel free to contact me for more information (and check out our website at http://www.hapdx.org/hillsdaleterrace/).
